LINDON PUFFIN | APRA Member since 1996
Lyttelton based rockabilly raconteur Lindon Puffin has released several albums, toured NZ relentlessly, played across Australia, Europe & the States. Supported some famous dudes like Billy Bragg, Jack Black, Greg Johnson & Chris Knox. Been shortlisted for a Silver Scroll, had an album in the top 10 & twice been judged live performer of the year.
He plays a mean harmonica, spins hilarious yarns, fronts the occasional TV programme but prefers to describe himself as a fisherman trapped in a musicians body. If you were old enough to pass off a fake ID in the mid 90’s, you might remember the short-lived outrageous glam rock band The Puffins that started the ball rolling.
Then there was the hysterically tragic feature length doco called Figure 8000 that laid bare the realities of solo touring the far flung corners of Godzone and went on to take up residency on Sky TV’s doco channel. With a half finished new album due out next year, get ready for an emotionally charged ‘come back tour’.
