Wairere has been involved in the New Zealand Music industry for over 20 years. Starting out as a session musician playing saxophone, Wairere went on to start the Traxeedos, the infamous horn section for Latin fusion hip hop band Batucada Sound Machine. Later he co-founded Auckland based booking agency Grafiti Entertainment, representing artists, Tahuna Breaks, Sons of Zion and Sweet and Irie, He has toured extensively throughout Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand and has worked as the tour manager for Six60, Iva Lamkum, I Am Giant, Maisey Rika, Tama Waipara, Scribe and Savage. Wairere is currently on the Board of the New Zealand Music Commission and a member of the Music Managers Forum executive committee.
