The APRA Music Grants programme supports the Music Managers Forum (MMF) through funding the APRA session at the Music Month Summit.
About the Music Managers Forum
The Music Managers’ Forum (MMF) is a national not-for-profit organisation formed in 2003 for music managers, self-managed artists and anyone with an interest in becoming a manager. The MMF offers professional development and networking opportunities around the country for managers of all levels to share and learn from the experiences of others, and an avenue through which common problems and areas of concern can be discussed.
In New Zealand, the MMF has representatives who sit on the board of the NZ Music Industry Commission, RIANZ and IMNZ. MMF Executive Members are also proactive in education through regular guest lecturing at universities, polytechnics and private training establishments.
One of the MMF’s main roles is the education of both new and established managers and self managed bands. We offer a number of areas for managers to increase and develop their knowledge, as well as provide a framework for essential networking and socialising with peers.
The MMF constantly provides Seminars, Online sessions, Summits and One to One coaching sessions for new and established members throughout the year. These sessions and seminars include question and answer sessions with international and local industry experts.
