Contributors or operators of User Generated Content (USC) or social media website may need a licence.

The licence covers streaming or downloading music from a website. It doesn't cover synchronisation rights (the reproduction of the music/sound recording when making the video or music clip).

Synchronisation clearance is required for all videos containing music when uploaded to USG sites like YouTube, Vimeo or Facebook.

Check out details for what to do if you are synchronising music into content: Using Music In Content You Create.

If you have any questions, email us or call us on 0800 69 2772.
