Tuesday, 30 Jan 2018

An impressive 27 Australian and New Zealand members contributed to the year's Grammy's nominations class, and by the conclusion of the hours-long ceremony, we had two members walk away with trophies. Ben Fielding and Brooke Ligertwood won the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song award for Hillsong Worship's powerful What a Beautiful Name.

From the behind-the-scenes side, songwriter and SongHubs participant Jess Chalker co-penned the charming Say Hello, a song on Lisa Loeb's Feel What U Feel, which won for Best Children's Album.

Melbourne's future soul outfit Hiatus Kaiyote, twice-nominated in previous years in the Best R & B Performance category, featured on the track Duckworth. on Kendrick Lamar's landmark Damn., winner of Best Rap Album. The group have a songwriting credit thanks to the use of their song Atari on the album's epic closer.

Congratulations to the winners, the nominees, and the songwriters who played a vital role across a diverse range of works.
