the Topp Twins, DJ SIR-VERE and Flying Nun Founder among recipients of Queen's Honours

A total of 17 people have been recognised in the 2018 Queen's Birthday Honours for their contributions to music.

The Topp Twins (who were inducted into the NZ Music Hall of Fame at the APRA Silver Scroll Awards in 2008), singer and entertainer Jackie Clarke, Flying Nun founder Roger Shepherd, John Rowles, and Mai FM Content Director Philip Bell, aka DJ Sir-Vere are among the most well-known.​

Congratulations to them all for their many years of wonderful service to songwriting and music, and the integral part they have played in the creation and preservation of culture in New Zealand.
