2018 APRA AMCOS Board Elections voting now open

This year’s APRA and AMCOS annual general meetings (AGMs) will be held on Wednesday 21 November 2018.

Eligible members will shortly receive a Notice of Meeting and instructions on how to vote through the secure AGM voting section of the Songwriters & Composers Portal and the Publisher Portal on our website.

Voting will close at 5pm on Wednesday 14 November. The results of the election will be announced at the AGMs and published on the APRA AMCOS website.

APRA Australian Writer Director Election

APRA received 6 nominations for the 2 vacant Australian Writer positions on its Board.

The nominees are:

  1. Amanda Brown (standing for re-election)

APRA Publisher Director Election

APRA received 3 nominations for the 2 Publisher Director positions on its Board.

The nominees are:

  2. Ian James, Mushroom Music Publishing (standing for re-election)
  3. Philip Walker, Origin Music Group (standing for re-election)

AMCOS Director Election

AMCOS received 7 nominations for the 4 vacant Director positions on its Board.

The nominees are:

  1. Matthew Capper, Warner Chappell Music Australia (standing for re-election)
  2. Matthew Donlevy, Cooking Vinyl Publishing Australia
  3. Jane English, Music Sales

New Zealand writer members, please note:  given there is no New Zealand Writer Director vacancy on the APRA Board, there will be no election of a New Zealand Writer Director at the 2018 APRA AGM. Accordingly, this year New Zealand writer members are not able to vote in the election of directors to the APRA Board.

At the 2018 Annual General Meetings, members of APRA and AMCOS will be asked to vote on a special resolution that relates to their voting entitlements at future AGMs and Board Elections. Read about the special resolution here.
