Maramataka / Calendar

As part of our work to support the emergence of a bilingual music industry, this year we are creating a maramataka/calendar to highlight releases, events, performances, and work which features waiata reo Māori and waiata reorua (bilingual songs).

Whether artists are already recording and performing in Māori, or have just started their reo journey in this way, we want to celebrate their work and create more opportunity for it to be heard. This maramataka/calendar will also draw interest to special events such as Matariki and Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, to create awareness and opportunity for waiata punctuations around the country, throughout 2021.

If you have plans around releasing waiata reo Māori or waiata reorua in 2021, please get in touch to let us know.

PLEASE NOTE, PARTICULARLY GIVEN THE CURERENT COVID ENVIRONMENT, THESE DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. If dates have changed, please email so that we can update the maramataka.
